On HSMP Applying for Tier 1 Extension - A few Questions

Post by majic » Fri Jan 01, 2010 2:49 am

Hi,

My HSMP visa expires in May 2010. So I am now preparing to apply for Tier1 extension. A few questions:

a. I will submit the follows docs - Please check if I am missing something:
1) Passport of Self and Dependents
2) 12 Months payslips
3) 12 Months Bank statment showing new salary deposits
4) Bank statment showing Maintenance Fund

I academic qualification remains the same so my under standing is that I donot need to send the degree Qualification again.

Please also explain what is the what is this Self Address Special Delivery Envolope all about

Also I have 3 dependents, So I would be paying:
Self: £900
Dependents: £150 (£50 per dependent)
Is 1050 the corrent amount?

Please be kind enough to answer my queries.

Regards

Faisal.

The fee is correct.
I remember sending the educational documents again when I renewed from HSMP to Tier 1 (it was a good few yrs back when Tier 1 was introduced after discontinuing HSMP). Just curious, can you not apply for PR (if you have completed 5 years).

PBS summary index
covering letter and explain that u r using the same bankstatements for maintenance funds for your dependents...

If you attach Royal mail special delivery envelope when HO takes decision they will send ur docs by using this envelop.. so that it can be tracked and reaches you 2-3days earlier than the ordinary RD

Thanks ramesh and chakku,

No this is my first extension after being issue a 2 Year initail HSMP visa. So as per your response:

Application for Self and 3 Dependents (1 each for each dependent)
A Cover letter with details of points being claimed.

1) Passport of Self and Dependents
2) 12 Months payslips
3) 12 Months Bank statment showing new salary deposits
4) Bank statment showing Maintenance Fund
5) 2 Photo Graph of Self and 2 each for each dependent

a) Am I required to send my educational Certificate?
b) Is the Fee for Self (Principle Application) 820 or 850?

would like to add some additional question!

Post by ebwinner » Sat Jan 02, 2010 10:19 am

very thanks for majic's post.

I have the same case like majic, now I hold 2 years HSMP visa in the UK, and will apply for Tier1 extension in April.

I have 3 dependents with me. As for dependent applications, besides all required docs, do I have to include english marriage certificate and birth certificates again?

Regards,
ebwinner

As per the guidance notes, if you have provided these documents in your initial approval than you don;t need to submit it. just make sure to tick the appropriate box in the extension form. But I still advice you to submit the same as original document are returned to applicant after approval. No harm in resending them.

Hi there,

Just to let you know that maintenance funds for 3 months means the balance should never gone below for the period. Need to maintain the balance every single day for the 3 months

Please check each and every transaction to make sure you are safe.

Cheers
