ILR Booking date

Post by denver2k » Wed Mar 24, 2010 11:13 pm

Hi,

My 1st Work Permit visa stamped on 22 April 2005. So, my 5 years are completing on 22 April 2010.

I have booked an appointment on 26 March 2010. Is there any issue with date? Its well within 28 days(inclusive and exclusive) but just asking for confirmation.

@denver2k,

I think your ILR period starts from the day you enter UK not when the Visa was stamped.
thats my opinion..

Denver2k...sincere apologies for not interpreting your question correctly.

Deep is right! The clock starts ticking only after you enter UK. For some reason I assumed that you are mentioning the UK entry stamping in your question instead of the work permit stamping! Sorry.

Hi All,
Please can someone guide me on this, i am a bit confused.

I came to the UK on 20 august 2005, so i will complete my 5 yrs stay on 20 august 2010 (Friday). Can i apply for my ILR on 23 July 2010 (Friday)?

Also, when i can start looking for online appointments, is it 9 weeks before 23 July 2010 which will be 21 may 2010 (friday).
Can i get appointment on telephone 9 weeks in advance or is it 6 weeks in advance of 23 july 2010 ?

Thanks.

I was already in UK when i had my Visa stamped.
you are fine then, you will count your qualifying period from the day your FLR was stamped.
