Esol Certificate after 7 April 2010

Evening all,

my wife received her english esol certificate ( City and Guilds) in july 2008.
she used this to apply for her ILR (indefinate leave to remain) and got it.
she now has to apply for natuarilasation

if she applies after 7 april 2010 can she still use it?
Will this be accepatable as proof of english and life in uk?

Also would it be better to send 01.04.2010 PM
or wait until after 7 april?

After this date, if you are submitting an ESOL certificate for ILR or Citizenship, it has to be from an approved school or college. This is to prevent 'dodgy' establishments providing 'quicky' certificates...2 week courses for example, usually with high fees, which don't comply with the requirement of 'progressing from one ESOL level to the next covering the Citizens content material'.
Anyone who submits a certificate which isn't from the approved list will have their application rejected.

How does one know if the establishment at which they are undertaking an ESOL course/qualification is an "approved school or college"..?

P.S: I would have thought that the certificate/qualifcation used to obtain ILR would still be valid for naturalization as if the qualification was not deemed "suitable" at the time of iLR application, then ILR never would have been issued..

Basically, if it was valid and suitable for ILR, it should be for Naturalisation too..!!
