Tier1 dependant visa to newborn baby

Post by pulimiharish » Sun Apr 18, 2010 7:43 pm

Hi

I am applying for Tier1 dependant visa to my newborn baby and have the following doubts, can someone please clarify?

1. Do I need to send the passport of my wife (already has a dependant visa) also for this application?
2. In the Applicants signature field, do I need to take the thumb impression of my baby or do I need to sign myself?

Documents to be enclosed:
1. Covering letter
2. PBS dependant form (Version 04/10)
3. Visa fees - £475
4. 2 photographs of the baby
5. Baby passport + My passport
6. Original birth certificate
7. Maintenance funds - 3 months bank statements

Anything else?

Thanks in advance
Harish

Ensure you include the following also:
1. Family pictures (Pictures of father, mother & baby)
2. Vaccination booklet
3. Please also include the bio-date & visa page of yourself and your wife)
4. You should also include your bank statement to cover all of you. To show that you can care for the family without recourse to public fund.
5. If you are staying with someone in the UK, get a letter from the person stating that he/she is still able to accommodate you with the baby.
6. Also get the sponsors visa & bio-data page.

I hope this helps. i just did for my baby also and i got it last week.

Regards.

Thank you for the reply.

1. Will include picture
2. I will include the photocopies of the vaccination pages from the red book
3. Do I need to send the original passports of mine & my wife (is a dependant of mine) or just copies will do?
4. Okay
5,6. I am the Tier1 visa holder and no one is sponsering me, so I guess these points are not valid for me.

3. You only need to put copies and not originals
5 & 6. If you don't have a sponsor then i guess you still need to show them proof of accommodation somehow. Just to proof that you can accommodate yourself and family without recourse to public funds.

Hi

Thank you for all the support, today I have received the Tier1 dependant visa for my kid.
I have one doubt: I am having a Tier1 visa which got extended recently for 3 years and my baby also got the visa with the same validity. Do I need to take the biometric tests for my baby? He was born in UK and haven't yet travelled anywhere.

Dates:
Application sent: 27th April 2010
Fees (£475) deducted: 28th April 2010
Passport received: 14th May 2010
Visa validity: 3 years

Documents attached:
1. Baby passport
2. Baby birth certificate
3. Covering Letter
4. 2 Photographs
5. Filled dependant application form
6. My passport xerox
7. 3 months bank statements
8. 3 months pay slips
9. Counxil tax bill as address proof

Thanks again

Just copy is enough, no need to send your husband's original passport.
If you are staying in UK, then you need to fill in the form PBS dependant application.

Why do you need items 8 and 9?
Where did you get requirement of producing these last 2 docs?

I attached those just to prove the I will be able to support the baby economically and will provide accomdation.
I haven't said that these are essential and required, all I attached were the documents which I sent along with my application. If you dont want to put those then its upto you.

Hi Harish et al,
Congratulation on getting your baby's visa. I am in the same situation at the moment as you were last month. I have almost compiled my documents as you mentioned below I am about to apply for my newborn baby visa but I have one doubt.
Could you please clarify how much do I need to show in my personal bank account for last three months? Is it £533 (only for my baby) or do I need to show £800+£533+533 (myself+my wife+baby)?
Please note that my wife is already on Tier1 Dependant Visa.

I would really appreciate your quick response.

Looking forward to hear you soon.

Many thanks in advance for your kind support.

We dont need to send the Original passport of the main applicant. Only the passport of the dependant applicant is required.

Hi
Can anyone help me in booking appointment online for my baby.As there is no option for PBS dependant under "what type of application you are making".
Currently I(main applicant) am on maternity leave getting maternity allowances and my husband working full time.Is this will affect my child application. As I am not economically active.
Thanks a lot
