Tier 1 general document required ?

Post by shantonav » Tue Jun 01, 2010 8:05 am

Hi,

I am planning to file for Tier-1 HSW UK Visa. Needed help from you as to what
are the documents required under each section.

1. Are the following forms all that are required for filing for the Visa ?
Please confirm.

a. POINTS BASED SYSTEM FORM (VAF9 MAR 2009)
b. POINTS BASED SYSTEM APPENDIX 1(APR 2010)TIER 1(GENERAL)MIGRANT
SELF- ASSESSMENT
c. Are there any other forms needed?

2. For Qualification proof - I have a B.Tech degree (equivalant to Bachelor's
degree in the UK) in Computer Science from a university listed in UK Border
agency points calculator site. I have all semesters mark sheets and the degree
awarded. Questions -

a. Do I still need to verifiy my degree with the UK NARIC?
b. If not, then what other documents will support a successful
case for qualification, if at all?

3. For earnings proof - I have past 12 months (Apr 2009 - Mar 2010) payslips.
All the payslips are electronic copies. Questions -

a. Do I need to get all of them stamped and signed from my
employer?
b. Do I need a consolidated statement from my employer to state my
12 months income or a Form 16 (income declaration as per Income
Tax Dept of India) suffice?

4. For maintenance fund - I and my spouse together have around enough funds that
meet the GBP 2800 (primary applicant) + GBP 1600 (dependent) in our bank
accounts (savings + fixed deposit). Questions.

a. Can this joint fund be shown when we both go to apply for the
Visa, with me being the primary applicant?
b. Apart from the savings bank account balance sheet of the last
12 momths stamped and signed by the bank and the fixed deposit
certificates, what are the other documents needed for a
successful evaluation in this section?

I have tried to be as precise as possible, your help in this direction is highly
solicited.

Thanks,
Shantonav

Hi,
Please do not refer to the VFS guidelines as they do not match with the UKBA guidelines in all respects.
Please refer to the UKBA website ONLY for guidelines:

Re Qualifications- as long as the degree is in the points based calculator...there is NO need for verification by UK Naric. What you need to show is your Original Certificate of Award and Academic Transcript. Please refer to this link for specific info on academic qualififcations:
http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/worki ... fications/
BE VERY ATTENTIVE TO THE FORMAT NEEDED BY UKBA AS PER THIS LINK. For example, this link mentions and I quote:
"The original certificate of award must be on the institution's official paper clearly showing:

* your name;
* the title of the award;
* the date of the award; and
* the name of the awarding institution."
Regarding date, MAKE SURE THE CERTIFICATE SHOWS DATE OF AWARD AND NOT JUST YEAR.
To be on the safe side, ensure to have your certificate and transcript "authenticated".And get a letter from the university (signed and sealed)that the medium of language was english througout the course.

For earning proof, do not give copies! go to this link for guidance:
http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/worki ... searnings/

For maintenace fund DO NOT show fixed deposits. Go to this link for guidance:
http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/worki ... intenance/

Any further clarifications, i am happy to assist.

cheers.
