Urgent-Quick Question

Post by kumaran72 » Wed Jul 14, 2010 1:30 pm

Hi all,

I work part time apart from my main job. That company pays salary in following month. My period starts from April 2009. However my salary of month March is paid in April ( I started my work there on March 2009)

So my March salary is paid in April (My pay slip states Month - March)

Can I use that income for the period starting April 2009?

Please reply quickly as I am running out of time.

Thanks in advance

Kumaran

Dont think so. You cannot use the salary of March when your claim period starts from April. The payslip clearly mentions March. It is not when you are paid but when you actually carried out the work that is taken into account.

it's a 12 month earning period really, so I don't think u can do that. Is this crucial for u to obtain the elegible points?

Thanks all.

I am barely above the limit needed for points without March payment.

if u qualify without that payment, why do u want to include it and complicate matters?

All the best with ur application.

Just so that you know..stamping or rejection is not decided on how far can you score above the set 75 points..someone with an earning of GBP 40,001 or 40,998 will score 25 points...fortunatelyor unfortunately for some this is how the rule works TILL NOW...so please don't sweat and complicate ur case..just show the earnings which are straightforward and can earn you a stamp on the passport...relax & good luck!!
