EEA and British Citizenship

Post by edinburgh » Thu Jul 22, 2010 11:17 am

Hello

I wonder if anyone would advise please whether EU students exercising treaty rights in the UK for more than 6 years need comprehensive sickness insurance to apply for British citizenship please?

Thanks

I think, you would first have to qualify for permanent residence before you can actually apply for citizenship. The requirement for EEA students is to have comprehensive sickness insurance (seed 4.(d)). I do not know if NHS would count in this case.
