Entry Clearance Refusal- Appeal timelines

Post by trulynice » Thu Aug 12, 2010 2:13 pm

Hi All,
I just got a refusal for Entry Clearance for my son for Tier 1 dependant visa. I will be sending appeal within a few days. Can everybody share their experiences regarding the timelines for appeal to BHC to reach a decision.

How many days/weeks did it take to reach a decision and what was the outcome.

The reason for refusal of entry clearance for my son was that he was applying as my Tier 1 dependant and I did not provide my spouse's immigration status evidence (i.e passport xerox for visa page as my spouse has got his own Tier 1 visa)

I have a similar case..
My husband is already in UK. I have applied for Tier 1 general.
Along with the same, I applied dependent visa for my daughter as my dependent.

I have got the tier 1 visa but got my daughter's visa refused on the grounds that her father is in India and not in UK. But the fact is that he is legally in UK from the last 4 months. I have attached his visa copy, his UK payslips and a covering letter from him stating his current status in UK along with the application.

I have no idea what went wrong for my daughter's visa to be refused.

Can you please let me know your experience on this and the timelines it took for the appeal to get resolved.
