Current Tier1 dependent visa processing time

Post by ruthie » Tue Aug 24, 2010 4:57 pm

Hi everyone,

I searched the forum but haven't got a clue yet.

We are about to apply for hsmp dependent visa for our new-born but have a travel plan out of country this dec, so wondering if we should apply by post or in person.

Can someone advise if you have any information regarding the current processing time of tier1 dependant visa by post? Any first hand experience sharing will be really appreciated.

Cheers.

Every application is assessed on the merits of evidence(s) submitted alongwith and therefore not every application can be expected to follow the same timeline.

If an in-country application, check UKBA waiting times. Alternatively, you may search the forum for timelines already posted by successful applicants.

Extension of leave under HSMP cannot be applied for through in-person appointments.
The offices cannot consider your application if you are:
a person with exceptional leave to remain;
a person with discretionary leave to remain or who has been given humanitarian protection;
applying for permanent residence on the basis of 14 years' residence;
applying for an extension of your visa on the highly skilled migrant programme;
a business person, innovator, sole representative or investor;
a seaman;
a Gurkha; or
an elderly dependant.

The extension will be under Tier-1 (G), you can apply in person therefore.
