Post by koshynita » Sat Sep 25, 2010 6:17 am

I would be grateful for some help please !!

My parents applied for ILE as dependant elderly parents from india.

They told me , collected their passports today & apparently visa stamped for 5 years.

is this possible?

what is the difference between ILE & ILR?

Thanking in advance

it will be up to the passport expiry date. At which date they can renew their passport and get the stamp back in the passport (quite costly) or apply for a british pasport if its after the time allowed. My mum had the same stamp in her passport a few months ago adn it goes up to 2015 at which date her passport expires.

Is there a time limit for ile visas, within which they should travel to uk... ie 1-2 months etc , or can they defer their visit by another 2 months?
