Limit reached for October

Post by rajesh567 » Wed Oct 20, 2010 8:33 am

I applied for Tier1 in Bnagalore on 24sep and it is still under process.
Now the message says limit reached for october and allocation will be from Nov 1st.
So does it mean my application will be processed in Nov?
or
can i expect to receive it in this month itself?

I searched UKBA website and googled as well.
Where did you get the message that monthly limit has been reached?

I tried following too
http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/worki ... hly-limit/

Rajesh, you have answered it yourself.
Please wait for November.

Even if they have done all processing and you will get visa successfully, it will come only in November.

tls2010,

I didn't mean sushdmehta was drunk but merely hoping that he was joking. I wonder why the "Limit Reached" news has never been published till now.
I don't want to go the conspiracy theory way saying "They want people to apply, so they keep this quiet". I hope such a news item hasn't been published because the limit hasnt been reached yet.

Since I had time on my hands, grabbed the decisions made in August 2010 for Indian VACs. Total decisions made in August 2010 : 1047

Decisions can be positive and negative and include reviews/appeals so this still tells me nothing except that Indian applications alone can (if more than 50% positive, in additions to applications from other countries) overwhelm the quota every month

Unfortunately, not all "PBS Tier 1" applications are necessarily (only) Tier 1 (General) applications by principal migrants! These 1047 applications include Tier 1 (PSW) applications and Tier 1 (General) dependent applications, which are not included in the interim limit.

VFS India is a highly unreliable source of information.
A news item put up and then removed puts a lot of doubt on their credentials!

Speaking to their call center may help. Though sometimes even they don't seem to have any idea of what they are talking about.
Thanks,
Sumit.

If this be the case, let's hope the news item is published on UKBA's site tomorrow :(

Wording in Notice

Post by ukvisa2010 » Wed Oct 20, 2010 5:49 pm

In order to avoid breaching the worldwide visa allocation of 600 for October 2010, no further visas for successful Tier 1 (General) applications will be issued until the limit allocation reopens on Monday 1 November 2010.

The limit does not affect applications from dependents, applications to extend existing Tier 1 general visas or to Post Study Work, Entrepreneurs or Investors.

News message removed from vfs website..seems ukba website we get updated tommorrow

so people who applied in oct ..there's a chance they will get the visa in december .

My doubt is..if my application is processed and is successful to give me a visa..they wait till NOV 1 and then give the visa..
and if it's not ok they may give the rejection in this month itself
So if i get any mess from vfs in oct high chances my application got rejected.

as per ukba:
If your application does not meet the requirements, we will process it as normal even if the limit has been exceeded.

I know what happened???

Since the cuts in funding to UKBA, there was no money to update in their website. Obviously, the news went to the private providers to publish in their website...
