Maintenance fund and maternity related absence.

Post by Cakebiscuit » Sat Oct 30, 2010 2:42 pm

Helo all,
Can i use a joint account(with my spouse) to proof maintenance fund.

Also i was on maternity for 4 months and i intend to use 6mths payslip before i commenced maternity and 6 months after the maternity with bank statement to proof my previous earning.is this ok because the guidance note only mentioned 12months maternity leave ABSENCE.Does this mean 12 months or LESS.
THANK U.

You should be fine with joint account. See this thread.

You also should be fine claiming earnings before and after maternity period. The guidance says that the maximum period of maternity related absence that they will discount is 12 months. So, anything less than that should be fine.
If the applicant is Read the Policy Guidance which states as below on page 17.

109. The maximum period of maternity or adoption-related absence that we will discount is 12 months.

No, you can only claim Maternity leave in case of women and adoption related leave in the case of men/women, not paternity leave.

Posting the same query again is not going to change the answer (already provided) in your favour!

What is a reasonable source? Any one person who replies accurately with facts ... or multiple responses from n number of people stating the same fact ... or n number of people giving different opinions?

I am a male parent.
Yes i didnt work for 1 month because my child was born.i was on holidays.
I have no salary in that month.
i was wondering if i can exclude that month to complete 12 months as i am short on previous earnings.

or is it only maternity/female parent Allowance?
1. You were on holiday, without pay, that you now wish to claim as paternity leave if it offers you an advantage.
2. Maternity leave is different from paternity leave, and the policy guidance has no mention of the latter.

Reading this topic will also be helpful.

A reasonable source in this case would be anyone who can provide the answers that drmastoi wants to hear rather than what he doesn't want to hear...

Hi
Reasonable source is when query is answered with references, source and expereince Not by bullying and criticizing for asking same question twice.
