Resident Requirement for Dependant

Post by vgvirgo » Sun Oct 31, 2010 4:29 pm

Hi All,

I will be apply for BC next year, my wife will also be finishing 5 yrs since her first entry in UK in May 2006, but she has gap of around

7 months and in 2007
1 mnt in 2008
2.5 mnt in 2009
and 2.5 mnt in 2010

So total 390 Days Absent from UK in Last (5+ 1 ) = 6 yrs

She has been given ILR as dependent of me in Sep 2010.

My Question is it an issue for her application for British Citizenship.

Thanx & Regards,
Vikas

With your wife being granted settlement, she is no longer a dependant (from immigration perspective).

Hi,

Thanx for reply... 380 days break is well below 450 day,
so there won't be an issue in 7 mnt break? I'm conserned about that...

Regards
