Please Helpp !!!

I cousin arrived here since 2006. And he is prersently living here illegally .He cannot go back to sierra leone. because of his involvement in some illegal activities with diamonds in kono. But since he arrived here in the UK. He was too scared to claimed Asylum because he dosent want to get sent back.
But things are getting harder and harder with him,
So he is thinking of making a claim soon. will he be granted Asylum or get sent back?
please we need some advice

Asylum claims have no time limit. He could still claim asylum at anytime.

Only an asylum caseowner could decide that, based on the credibility of his claim.

Does he need to mention the year of arrival here in the UK
