Indian passport and British Passport

Hi there,

I applied for British passport last week via IPS and hopefully all being well I will get my passport within 2 weeks. I am also holding Indian passport at the moment.

Could you please advise how do I go about surrendering my Indian passport and also also acquiring my PIO card? Any information or advise I will greatly appreciate it.

Once you receive your British passport, you must surrender your Indian passport and get OCI (now PIO is no longer available). For more details about how to surrender Indian passport and get OCI, check Indian consulate website of the region where you live in the UK.
