Tier 2 for promotion?

hi all,
a question on behalf of a friend:

she is currently on a Tier 2 visa in a shortage occupation. there is a possibility of her getting a promotion shortly. the new designation will be 'Senior' and the payrise will be in the region of 10-15%.

will she need to get a new Tier 2 visa in order to accept the promotion and the new job role/pay?

she just got her current visa less than six months ago, so the idea of going through the process all over again (and paying another 500 quid) is a bit wearying.

tell her employer to NOT officially change her job title...

rise in salary doesnt mean you need to get new visa but if a job title/ description changes, then she must apply for new tier 2

I'm having the same issue and was just wondering what happened on your friend's visa "Sac"? did you need a new RLMT and a new visa? I'm getting promoted soon and will need to know this ASAP. Any update from those who had the same issue is greatly appreciated.
