Is having sponsored before a problem ?

10 years I ago I met and (too) rapidly married a Colombian. I sponsored her to come to the UK. She stayed in the UK for 2 weeks, had something akin to a nervous breakdown and went back to Colombia, never to return. As soon as we could we got divorced (8 years ago now). Total disaster !

I am now blessed to have a Brazilian fiance (who I have known for 2 years and has been in the UK as a tourist for 5 months). She is now in Brazil waiting for her fiance visa request to be processed.

So just to remove a worry I have .... can anyone reassure me that having sponsored someone to come to the UK before will not prejudice the fiance visa application ?
