Mother has changed first name, but not family name

Post by winber » Thu Jun 16, 2011 12:22 pm

On Form AN, the citizenship application, 1.27 asks for "Your mother's full name & maiden name."

Now in fact her surname is currently the same as it was when she was born. However she has changed her first name.

Maiden name refers to family name only right? So I should just put a dash and repeat the surname.

Or perhaps I could put a note saying Born As - then state the full name at birth. Or do you think this would just confuse them and delay my application?

Thanks for any opinion!
