ILR success at croydon WP route 17/6/2011

hi all
i got my ILR today under 5 year WP route

document submitted
my passport & wife's passport
3 months bank statement + 3 months payslip
Life in UK
employer letter
absence from uk in spreadsheet total 70 days
for cohabitation 5 different document for each showing same address
original WP letter
cover letter from my solicitor

paid fees, lady checked all documents within 10 mins and no question asked

collected passport after 2 and half hours later

Several people mentioned the "cover letter from solicitor" in their success stories.

What's that about?

Hi firstly congradulations, how long before your visa expired did you apply. Also did you submit 5 p60's ?

it's easy to make.
just put

date of leave/date of arrival/total days/ reason for absence/ total days etc. field and put ur info there on a spreadsheet.

i did take my p60's but never submitted.

solicitor letter is not mandatory, but if u hire a solicitor to double check everything, u have every right to take a letter from him, detailing your situation for last 5 years
