Thanks, is there an address?

I'm assuming they are at the British Embassy in Cairo, on Ahmed Rageb Street

Thanks.

Whether you need to get any documentary evidence(s) notarised /attested should be checked with the local VAC / BHC.

If you need any help, just let me know.

I have just sent my Application to Cairo.
Thanks for the links, is there any reason why pakistan and india are not on the drop down list of "where do you live"?

Hi,

I am putting together the financial documents required for evidence of my income and need some guidance on if I am putting enough information in.

I have been to all of the relevant websites for guidance and also tried to phone the Embassy as a couple of people have suggested but they don't take calls. Therefore I am posting these queries here as they are specific questions which aren't answered on the website.

Personal finances:
Personal bank statements to be submitted (min. 6 months)
Savings bank statements to be submitted

P60:
Do I need to put this in?
I have a personal tax computation from my accountant which shows my income but don't have a P60 for the last financial year yet (previous ones would be old and irrelevant)
Should I put in the personal tax computation with a covering letter from my accountant to certify that it is accurate?

Company accounts:
I am the sole director of a company.
I have annual accounts going up to April 2011 which I believe I should also submit.
I have been advised that these should be notarised. Is that also by a Notary Public (like a passport) or can the accountant just stamp them? They are bound accounts with the accountant name on them.
Do I also need to submit bank statements for the company or is it sufficient that there is income going into my personal account as seen on my personal bank statements?

I appreciate this is a lot of questions. Help is much appreciated.

Thanks,

A

Hi,

Sorry, I didn't see all the message before. I haven't put my application in yet. We are going to put it in hopefully at the beginning of November after some delays in getting everything we need together, but we are aware it won't be a fast turnaround once its in - hopefully within three months now I guess?

Thanks.

I didn't realise I needed the Company Registration documents as well.

They are already in English.

Should I get a copy from Companies House or have my own copy notarised?

Hi,

I've just been speaking to my bank to get the six months of company bank statements and they are saying its £5 per statement sheet of which there are of course many.

Is this strictly necessary? The originals I mean.

Thanks,

OK, so now that's it's almost all together, I will write a list of what we are submitting in case of any errors or omissions!

Thanks in advance:-)

My Husband's documents:

1. Completed application form VAF4a (and visa fee)
2. Passport
3. 2 x Passport photos (with name written on back)
4. ID
5. Translated birth certificate
6. Translated military certificate
7. Six months bank statements and bank letter (in English)
8. English Certificate

(and photocopies of everything)
Do we need certified copies of everything (passport, ID) or just photocopies?

Joint documents:
9. Our original marriage certificate
10. Our translated marriage certificate
11. Photograph album with selection of photos from all our trips and wedding/honeymoon
11. Mobile phone bills (two years since we met) with txt and phone calls
12. Skype call history for almost two years
13. Screenshots of inbox with emails from each other over two years
14. Postcards my husband has sent me

(and photocopies of each)

My documents: the sponsor

14. Six months original bank statements (personal)
15. Savings bank statement (only one as issued annually)
16. P60
17. Dividends vouchers (as company director)
18. Notarised company accounts (one year only?)
19. Copy of Company Registration Document from Companies House
20. Six months original company bank statements
* the most recent bank statement will not be available so I plan to get a print out certified by the ban so it has up-to-the most recent transactions. Will this be OK?
21. Land Registry Document
22. Council Property Inspection Report for Entry Clearnance Officer, confirming that only I live in my property and there is room for my husband.
23. Proof that I live in my flat: Utility Bills and Council Tax letter of confirmation
23. Letter from me stating: who I am, that I am married to my husband, where we met, when we married, how we stay in contact, how we plan to live together, why we choose UK, that I own a property for us to stay in...what my husband plans to do for work...anything else?
24. Photos of my property
25. Certified copy of my passport
26. Certified copy of my birth certificate
27. Copies of electronic flight tickets for each trip to visit my husband
28. As my income isn't the same every month I am also including:
A spreadsheet which shows income and expenditure for 8 months and the monthly average which covers all outgoings and some spare
29. A letter from my parents which says they will provide additional support if we require it, accommodation and financial
30. A bank letter from my parents which shows that they can afford to do this
31. Photos of my parents property which show plenty spare rooms.

Is there anything we are missing? Or anything we shouldn't be putting in?

I have a final question. My husband was working with the same company for the last two years but got made redundant. He has a trade so he went back to being self-employed doing that for the last month/six weeks. His ID has the previous employer on it, but he is no longer with them. Would it be sufficient to explain this in the additional information section? Will it be an issue as clearly he is intending to come and work here once settled with me anyway?

THANKS!

Thanks!

I certainly will.

I have a final (I think) question. Do we need to photocopy the photos we are putting in as well? I know everything needs to be photocopied but we were planning just to put in one album?

Thanks again

...the final question wasn't so final:-)

We are putting in a full A4 lever-arch folder of information once all of the supporting documents are covered. However, I know everything has to be photocopied.

Should the photocopies by beside the originals? Or should we make up another folder which has the same contents but photocopied?

If we try to put it all in one folder it won't fit.

Thanks
