try at midnight. login couple of minutes before 0000 hours and fill up the form. hit submit on the dot. you should see availability six weeks from current date. try changing locations, dates and keep re-submitting for five minutes if you dont see any appointment. this is how i secured mine

They normally show you 42 days in advance. (both over the phone and on internet).

I booked my appointment this week.

I logged on Monday night 2nd January at 23:55, and tried to make an appointment. I was shown the screen that says something like 'no appointments are available, please try a different date'. I clicked that link and kept things the same and tried again. At exactly 00:00 available appointments showed up for exactly 6 weeks later for Tuesday, 14th Feb

That’s great. I told you they become available 42 days in advance.

I remember in old days when you could only book an appointment over the phone, you had to call at 0871 number at exactly 9:00am. Even if you were few minutes late, all the appointments had been booked and you had to call back the next morning.

Apologies for hijacking this. But am I correct assuming, I wont be able to book anything for say between 5/03/2012 - 15/03/2012 at this present time? Like everyone else, I dont see any dates available at the moment but must admit that I have not tried midnight tricks !!

Also, I am extending my Tier 1 General Visa (Expiring 23/3/2012), and in such case, would I be correct choosing Tier 1 General in drop down or should it be like FLRO etc etc?

Ta,

raxs1983, you should select Tier-1 from the list.

You can only book PEO appointment 42 days (6 weeks) in advance. For example today is Friday, 6 January 2012 and if you add 42 into it, the Resulting date: Friday, 17 February 2012. So the system won’t show anything beyond 17 February 2012.
If in doubt, you can use this website to accurately calculate the dates:

If I were you, I would try booking it online at around midnight like the people above. If no luck, get a solicitor or agent. They have pre-booked slots. I know it will be extra money... but atleast that way you will not loose out on your trip. Good Luck.

I have tried to book appointment for Tier-1 extension for whole family. But I didn't get it for last one month.
I have tried for myself only and I got the appointment at he end of Feb just two days before.
Can I create anothe username and still can I search for family appointment? If I get it Can I book that appointment for family including myself. Will softaware allow my name?
After getting family appointment I want cancel my own appointment. Is it affect my visa?

Let me tell you what happened with me.

I created the login Id on 11th Jan around 8+ PM.
took 10-15 minutes to understand all the features of the website. (Not at all concious of what lies ahead)
I tried for In Person application and looked for something in the range of
25 Jan - 1 Feb. no appointment available.
Then
6 Feb - 15 Feb.
No apppointment.
Read the 42 days clause, searched till 22nd Feb. No appointments.
Then after 5 minutes, gave it another try, got 2 slots visible at around 08:25 PM.
Tried filling the form and moment I clicked, Appointment slot gone.
Did 2 pages back and selected the other slot. Filled in the details in a flash and clicked finish.

Imagine what happened.. It went through and received a 4 liner Email confirming the appointment.

I consider myself very very lucky after reading about the issues everyone had while booking the appointment and some people waiting for 2-3 weeks to book a slot.

Can anyone please let me know when booking an online service, for Tier 1 extension, which appointment type should I select? I can see the 'tier 1' option, does this include tier 1 extension as well?
Why as I remembered, it was called something else before.

Can someone please clarify this. Thank you very much!
