maintenance fund under wife's name... Is that a problem?

maintenance fund under wife's name... Is that a problem?

hi, sorry if this topic has been discussed in any previous topic. i just realize that my large sum of saving is under my wife's name and i can't add my name under it.Only £1000 is under my name would it be fine when we(myself, mywife and son) applies together for tier-1(general) extention? or My wife and son are on my dependant visa just now.
Please point me to the ukba site where i can verify.

only your wife and son's maintenance can be in your wife's name only. Your funds need to be in your name or joint names.
