Post by majid2011 » Tue Mar 27, 2012 5:24 pm

Hi,

I just got married in Pakistan. I just need to know what English language test my wife needs to do. can someone please give me the name of this test.

I'm from gorgueshti, Attock, punjab, pakistan.

My wife is 12 passed.

How long will it take for the test.
What test she needs to take.

It depends upon the efficiency of your wife. She can choose any test mentioned in the list.

She will have to pass A1
Its only the listening and speaking that she will have to pass and if she gets the marks set by UKBA on their website then she is all good, she can submit the visa as soon as she recieves her certificates, and please make sure she submits the three pages, including the mark sheet.

I read on here that someone's visa got refused on the grounds that they didnt submit all the papers for the English, I think it was the mark sheet that was left out.

I suggest you rather be safe than sorry.

My wife is 12 passed.
For the record, how old is your wife?

You are no doubt right, but that raises a further query for me. That is, what exactly does "level 12 of college" actually mean? It might mean a lot to people of a certain nationality, but might not mean a lot to the rest of the world's population.
