Totally confused

Post by aaammmiii » Wed Apr 19, 2006 12:41 am

I am looking for a job since last 2 months, but till now haven't got a single employee that is ready to sponsor my Work Permit.

Everyone (Job Agencies) says that you have all that I am looking for but cannot help you on the Work Permit sponsorship.

Presently I am in UK on a Work Permit that ends by 31st December 2006. I have resigned from my current company and my last date is in the first week of May 2006.

I have been applying through Jobserve.com, cwbjobs, jobsite, etc.

Do I need to change my approach in applying or discussing about my work permit status?

Please advise I am totally confused now.

Many Thanks in Advance.

Dear aaammmiii

Am really sorry to hear about your case. However, ss you have been in the work permit you know well that the prospectives employers must give preference to the UK/EU citizen.

They need to prove that they have advertised the job in reasonable time to allow the UK/EU applicant to apply. So, Non EU applicant need to have a qualifications, experience and skilled higher then the avarage EU applicant. Of course this is a problem

if you have resigned, your companyb way have informed the HO and cancelled your visa. in that case you are probably out of status and overstaying.

Fortunately, I got a job on the last day with my then employer and joined within 1 week once my WP was xfered to the new employer and have been working with them since then.

Since my previous employer was only a NET PAY only employer. I will have to wait a little or may be I will apply via workpermit.com for HSMP. I hope they are good anybody having experiences with them [workpermit.com]?

WP is not transferable in the UK... do you mean your new employer applied for a new WP for you?
