Tourism (including visiting family and friends)- A small query

Post by saisun99 » Mon May 19, 2025 7:40 am

I am British Citizen settled in the UK with my family, my mom she's visiting me from India. When my dad was alive, prior to covid, they both visited me here 3-4 times. After dad passing away, she's visiting us first time after covid. I have got stuck in one query while filling her form.

Have you ever been given medical treatment in the UK? - in this question i am confused wheher to select Yes or NO. As before covid while she was here, she got major cyst infection and after trying many home treatments and medicines, when it got major we had to rush to A&E and they prescribed her one antiboitics and a cream. We bought the medicine ourselves but they didn't;t any fee.

I'd like to be honest and be clear what had happened but little unsure how to take this forward in the form. Please advise if anyone were in this situtiaon

thanks

Services that are free to everyone
Some services or treatments carried out in an NHS hospital are exempt from charges, so they're free to all.

These include:

A&E services – not including emergency treatment if admitted to hospital
family planning services – this does not include abortions or infertility treatment
treatment for most infectious diseases, including sexually transmitted infections (STIs)
treatment required for a physical or mental condition caused by torture, female genital mutilation (FGM), domestic violence or sexual violence – this does not apply if you have come to England to seek this treatment
No sin in failing, you just have to try and try again!
