Tourist VISA how long he could stay for a single trip

Hi

I have a friend from Srilanka, he got "Multiple Entry visa" from British Embassy in Dubai for 7 months.

In their visa is is written could stay maximum 180 days.

How many days Maximum he could stay for EVERY Entry ?? (2, 3 months ??)
(gioven to total stay in the UK isnot exceeding 180 days)
