US TOURIST VISA - REFUSED 2 TIMES - PLEASE HELP

Post by jason77 » Thu Jul 14, 2011 12:43 pm

I have a UK visa - Limited Leave to Remain, however i have applied for a US Tourist Visa and refused 2 times.

1st Refusal - not enough ties to UK (holiday)
2nd Refusal - you are going to see someone you haven't met (internet relationship). relationship has subsiquently ended though

i want apply again to visit New York. My ties include

1. A job
2. studying - long distance learning
3. family in my home country

Is there any chance for me in getting a visa. What advice can you help me with.

Even I have the same question.
I live and work in UK
If I apply from India, I will have to produce my UK bank statements and UK Tax proof as I dont have any earnings in India. My india bank account would hardly have any money. All my savings are in UK bank account.
But I dont have a flat of my own in UK which I do in India.
Technically I will have strong ties with India as I am an Indian holding Indian passport and holding a property in India. But all my earnings are in UK.
I am confused now. Should I apply from UK or India.
If in India, can I produce my UK bank statements.

Include a bank account statement. Perhaps a lease agreement or a house deed would help too.

I could include my bankstatement. Regarding the lease or house deed - in my case my accomodation is provided by my employer and therefore i do not pay any rentals or bills.

Also should i wait until i get my ILR

That would probably be a very good idea.

You don't have a chance.
Don't waist your money and time.
If you apply now it will be an easy case for the consular officer - refuse.
Once you have been rejected it is very difficult to get a visa.
Bank statements, letters, or whatever will not help - nobody will want to see them!
Wait for ILR or even better for the British passport!

Thanks for the feedback. So if I am refused (as it stands with my previous 2 refusals); When i get a British Passport will i have to apply for a visa then; if not will i have problems in entering America because of those visa refusals?

I don't know what happens when you get the British Passport. I don't have one yet. But I think you might still have problems then, maybe still you will have to apply for the US visa then. This is only my guess, not based on any personal experience. Anybody knows? But I think you might have a better chance with British passport than now. Good luck!

When you moved into your apt, haven't you signed some paperwork? It would be strange if the employer just gave you the keys and have not made you sign any paperwork.
