Traffic direction and signs

Post by rnr79 » Sat May 14, 2011 10:22 am

Hi guys,

what a worst time to do this....I just submitted my application via NCS and while returning home after submitting application, I turned right on a go straight traffic sign. There was no RED SIGN for right TURN.

Would this cause a problem for my application. Would there fixed fine for these type of offenes? or there will be 3 points and will they be give by court?

I have read many people have got natrulazation approved though they have points in their license?

I am just so worried now...there is no single offence, neither parking offence in my stay in the UK. and my application is quite straight forward single person applicaion.

Any views guys, or what should i do if get 3 points on my license?

thanks

Update:

Just checked on Brent Council web site, if my incident is captured on CCTV camera then per web site this is enforcing moving traffic contraventions

All penalty charge notices (PCN) served for moving traffic contraventions are £120 under the Traffic Management Act 2004. The amount payable is reduced by 50 per cent to £60 if the PCN is paid within 14 days beginning with the date of the PCN.

http://www.brent.gov.uk/parkingenf.nsf/pages/lbb-17

and go straight is one of the moving traffic contraventions as per :

http://www.brent.gov.uk/parkingenf.nsf/ ... 5B2%5D.pdf

This mean it may just result in penalty charge notice and if i pay that , that shouldnt be a problem?

are my findings and understanding correct, guys?

You're fine. Don't worry.
Even if you were cought then unless it reaches court (if you don't pay your penalty notice) it is not a criminal conviction.

Does anyone know if one gets points on their license for this kind of offence?
