trafic offence, please help

I am I uk since middle of 2004. Currently home office is reviwing rejected asylum case under legacy case. However I have convicted of driving without insurance offence. It is now 4 and half year. the offence will be spent after 5 years according to 1974 offenders act. it is about to be spent by the end of summer this year does any one give some hint wheather this affect legacy case. :lol:
