Post by KiwiSwede » Wed Apr 09, 2014 1:36 am

Hi, I have a valid EEA Residence card on my expired passport. Is it possible to transfer it to my new passport?

Thanks

If you want it on your new passport you will need to apply again and produce all the documents that you provided in the past.

Alternatively, just carry two passports with you when you travel. They're not that heavy...

IT will be nice if ukba start a plastic card like other EU states credit card size AS RESIDENCE CARD . THen no need to worry about tranfereing to new passport etc. despite that they are charging 55 pounds .
even if they charge extra for card like 55 ppounds to process application and another 55 ponds to get RC AS PLASTIC CARD .
A LOT of people will go for plastic card rather than vignette or issiued on a4 size paper as an isd.
You may have to fight a battle more than once to win it.
