You can't transfer a work permit and remember it is the employer and not the employee who has to apply. Your new employer will have to follow the normal work permit application procedure (I believe the form is WP1). Tier 1 applications are not subject to advertising rules, they have to qualify all other criteria.

hey thanks for reply,
I understand that new employer has to submit application. The problem is as most employers are reluctant to apply for visa, they asked me for information. they asked me how much it costs and how long it takes. I told them it takes less than a week and cost around 100 pounds, Am I right???
And i told them its a simple transfer application as WP already have my details ,they need the new company details so it should be straight forward. Is that the case??? So they have to fill in WP1 form
thanks

wpp,

Each work permit application is treated on its merits, the fact that your previous employer successfully obtained a work permit for you does not guarantee you will be successful the second time. The only way of finding out is after lodging the application.

Please check out the WP(UK) website for information on work permit applications: http://www.workingintheuk.gov.uk/workin ... rmits.html?

The fee is £153 plus further fees for FLR(IED) of £335 for postal applications or £500 for PEO applications.

FLR = Further leave to remain

Once your WP is approved u need to fill a form and then the HO will decide whether you can continue your stay in britain

if the company's papers are all in order and if they have applied for WP recently then it should be within a week or else the HO keep or asking for information and they have a deadline set.

if all the "required / correct" information is not sent with the time frame then it may be rejected
