Travel advice

Post by rbsjp » Tue Dec 22, 2015 10:12 am

I am in UK on ILR. My wife has ILR dependent visa but currently in India. My daughter has a visa stamp saying: Settlement to join Parent (s). Can my daughter travel alone to UK?

There is no ILR dependant visa.
To apply for UK Settlement as the child under the age of 18 of a parent or relative settled in the UK using Form SET(F), the child must be seeking to join a parent, parents, or a relative in one of the qualifying circumstances:
Both parents are present and settled in the UK.
Both parents are being admitted on the same occasion for settlement.
One parent is present and settled in the UK and the other is being admitted on the same occasion for settlement.
One parent is present and settled in the UK or being admitted for settlement and the other parent is deceased.
One parent is present and settled in the UK or being admitted for settlement and has sole responsibility for and custody of the child.
One parent or relative is present and settled in the UK or being admitted for settlement and there are compelling reasons for the child to live or remain under the custody and care of that parent or relative.

Depends on whether the airline will let her travel alone and:
1. Both parents are present and settled in the UK.

2. Both parents are being admitted on the same occasion for settlement.

3. One parent is present and settled in the UK and the other is being admitted on the same occasion for settlement.

4. One parent is present and settled in the UK or being admitted for settlement and the other parent is deceased.

5. One parent is present and settled in the UK or being admitted for settlement and has sole responsibility for and custody of the child.

6. One parent or relative is present and settled in the UK or being admitted for settlement and there are compelling reasons for the child to live or remain under the custody and care of that parent or relative.
