Travel before receiving BRP

Hi All,

I am on a Tier2(G) visa (old style pasted in passport) and need to apply for a new Tier2(G) (new employer) visa which should be a BRP card. I have been booked for a premium service appointment at PEO and told that I shall get my passport, with current Tier2(G) visa, back in 24-48 hours. However, I would receive BRP (for new visa) after 10-14 working days.

My current visa has a validity till the end of next year. My question is, can I travel out of the UK and return using my current visa (in my passport) before I receive BRP for the new visa? New CoS would have a starting date of two months from now and my appointment is in mid-April.

Travel or not before you receive brp is upto you!
Why the rush? When ukba clearly states don't until you receive brp!!!!
