Travel Date to the UK

Hi

My friend got Skilled Worker Visa and his entry permit from 02 MAY 2023

He booked flight from Australia to UK

He is departing Australia on 01 May 2023 and reaching UK in 02 May 2023

Shall anyone confirm that he is okay to depart from Australia on 01 May 2023? He is entering UK on 02 May 2023 as per his visa validity date but just wanted to confirm that whether he is okay to depart on 01 May 2023 from Australia?

Should be okay.
leave to enter should begin on the date they arrive in the UK.
