If your residence card expired why don't you apply for another one or for a permanent residence card if that would be applicable? Or is your problem that you wouldn't get the new card in time?

Which country is your EU spouse a citizen of? Which country are you living in?

Where do you want to travel to?

I also read your other posts that give more information.

As you live with your Lithuanian wife in Lt only their national law applies.
This means you should normally apply from outside Schengen for a visa that allows family reunification.

However this is a bit strange as you developed your family life during a legal stay, even if this was for study purposes. So art. 8 of the European convention for human rights should enable you to apply from within Lt. Take a good lawyer, one who knows something about human rights and immigration.

However, nothing prevents your wife to go and live in another EU member state, for instance neighbouring Poland or Latvia. There you can follow her, even without a visa.
