Travel to the UK with temporary passport

I went back home with my daughter to Zimbabwe to get a passport and sadly have not yet been able to get it due to issues with the passport department.

She has to travel back but her passport would have expired. Does anyone know if it is possible to travel with an Emergency Travel Document from Zimbabwe into the UK or is there any guidance regarding this? She has a BRP valid until 2020.
