Hey All New To this Fourm so i'm sorry if i post a repeat thats all ready been said..

Basicaly i'm 21 years old(british citizen0 and getting married to a nigeran lad who is also 21 who has been leaving in the uk as a student for the last 2/3 years on student visa..

we are getting married in august, i know what visa he needs to aply for after getting married as my frined's husband have done this..

what i'm trying to as here is, when we get married we are planning on travel going to eupore or may new york ect on a holiday, as he holds a britsh pastport and not are britsh or france one for example outside of the EU, would he need a visa to travel. i hold a britsh passport so its ok for me to travel, just wanted to sum this up before booking flights or holidays ect

Absolutely ... except I don't think our OP meant this:

I think they meant he holds a Nigerian passport. Otherwise he wouldn't need a student visa in the first place ... he'd already be british and be in no need of visas.

A british spouse visa will confer no right to travel to other countries on him. While in theory he will be allowed free movement in the EU if you wish to travel there you should apply for a schegen visa for him to be safe (which is free in fairness for him and easy to obtain) and he will need a US visa if he wants to travel there.

All assuming ... of course ... you meant he has a nigerian passport.

If he holds a different passport - please tell us.
