Travelling on other (non-UK) passport after naturalisation

Post by yonex » Thu Dec 18, 2008 10:55 am

Hi everyone,
I'm just wondering if anyone has travelled on their "previous" (non-UK) passport after getting naturalised? Is the ILR still valid?

I have just got my Certificate of Naturalisation, and I'm travelling end of January. With the Christmas and New Year coming up, I doubt I can get my UK passport in time.

Just worried that they won't let me into the country because they have invalidated my ILR.

ILR isn't valid as you are now British. There is therefore no question of you not being allowed into the UK. if you do not want a British passport I suggest you carry your certificate of naturalisation(or a notarised copy) with you.

What country is the "previous" nationality?
