Travelling Outside UK but Spouse Visa to expire in 6 months

I have been in UK for 11 months now. I am planning to go back to Philippines by June and stay there for quite some time (probably for a year or two). But my spouse visa is due to expire on December 2010. What if i decide to come back in UK? Should i apply for another spouse visa? Or can i just apply for an indefinite extension (is there such a thing?)

Please help. Thanks.

You will have to apply for a new visa.
