Travelling when BRP replacement

Post by qwe12 » Wed Apr 10, 2024 1:36 pm

Hi,

I have an ILR and recently applied for a BRP replacement due to name splitting. I understand that the replacement might take 6 months, but I need to travel before that. I have seen the previous post (general-uk-immigration-forum/travelling ... l#p2023199), which suggests I can apply for one-time "a replacement BRP visa" from outside UK.

My questions are as follows

  • Has anyone done this? Please share your experience.
  • Will the BRP replacement application be affected if I travel outside the UK?
  • Could someone receive my BRP and courier it to India?

For example, can we update the address to a friend's address so they receive and courier BRP?

    Is couriering BRP allowed?
  •  If I am away during the eVisa rolling, can I enroll in eVisa from outside the UK, or do I have to be present in the UK?
Thank you in advance.

Replacement BRP visa can also take weeks. You may update your address with UKVI in case you need someone else to get it: https://visa-address-update.service.gov.uk/
The eVisa is just an account with proof of your status, so you do not need to be in the UK.
