turned out of country stamp on passport

Post by iconoclast » Sat May 02, 2015 6:42 pm

Hi

I had been to Uzbekistan recently and was out of my registered hotel after 11 pm in a private property and was detained by the local police while i was waiting to flag a taxi.In That country it is equal to breaking the law to stay away from the registered hotel after 11pm. the police asked me to deposit the passport with them for verification.however i had a flight next day and the cops refused to return it back as it was a sunday and the formalities were not yet comleted. they let me fly after verification, however since my visa had expired they had to issue a exit visa.the exit visa stamp goes like this "was turned out of country for breach of stay regulations in Uzbekistan".

i am planning to travel to UK in July with my family on a holiday and all my bookings are done.i have to now apply for the tourist visa.can anyone let me know there are chances of my visa getting rejected.

any response is highly appreciated

unlikely but when you apply there will be a question:

Have you ever been deported, removed or otherwise required to leave any country, including the UK in the last 10 years?

answer yes and give details.

Did you have a genuine reason for overstaying and how long did you overstay? Breaking curfew rules is not relevant

any response is highly appreciated
