GTV-dependent unmarried partner

Post by jignasha210 » Sun Dec 05, 2021 10:06 pm

Hi
I am living in UK since September, 2020 on the Global Talent Visa(Exceptional promise category) route. I would like to get some information regarding the Unmarried partner dependent- GTV category
My partner is currently living in India and we have been in a relationship for 10 years but we never stayed together. We are from different cities, we don't have a common bank account but we do have genuine photographs, Messages/emails/ Whats app conversation details. My partner has a Master degree in Science with more than five years of experience in the Pharma sector. Currently, I`m employed by Ireland on a European union funded project and earn more than sufficient to support both of us in the UK.

I have checked the UK gov guidelines and contact different social media communities but nothing is being useful atm as uk gov requires to submit common joint bank account or residential proof so my condition is bit difficult.

I would really appreciate it if anyone has faced same situation and can kindly advice whether my profile is eligible to apply for an unmarried partner visa or not.

Thanks for your time.

The relationship requirements for Global Talent dependants are set out clauses GT 19.1 - GT 19.4 of the immigration rules. For unmarried partners see GT 19.2:
