Extending the process of skilled worker Visa

I have applied for a skilled worker visa through one of friends. The COS is already received by his company on 23 July 2023. The validity of the COS is 3 months.
Now the company yet to download the COS and is yet to provide it to me.

Basically, I want to shift UK only after January 2023.

I have the following queries

1. Is it possible for me to stretch until 2023 to shift to UK.
2. How I can drag the whole process till January 2023.

Can anybody please guide me on this?

The answer to both your queries is negative.

You'll need to explain to the sponsor why you don't want to, or are unable to, take up the post they offered you and if they still want to employ you they'll need to assign a new CoS in due course.
