Dear All,
Please I am a health and care visa worker that currently have a new employer that is willingly to sponsor me this month.
But the problem I have is that during the time of my application I didn’t indicate in my application form that I will need to give a 2 months notice to my current employer before I will leave, I just write Not applicable in the section that indicate this.
But now I am in a dilemma and I don’t know how I can explain this to my new employer.
Though I am still awaiting a new CoS from my new employer, my fears is that how will I be able to work this 2 months notice out if at the end of the day I apply for a new visa and I am granted the BRP with a start date on the CoS after I had made my application and it is successful.
Or is it advisable now that I should inform my new employer at hand that I will need to give a 2 months notice after my visa had been approved so that this won’t lead to an issue. I am planning to speak with the new employer this week and I thought I should gain the beautiful audience and idea first before I speak with them or I should wait first until my CoS is issued and approved before I should tell my new employer about this.
Your support will highly appreciated.
Thank you all.

This is confusing, how did you apply for a new visa if you're still waiting for a CoS to be provided?
Normally applicants inform the new employer about any notice period, so they can issue the CoS - including tentative start date, etc - taking into account that period.

I haven’t apply for a new visa yet.
I was only referring to the time I made a job application to this new employer that in the column for period of notice I only write Not applicable since I don’t know they will shortlist me for interview.
Thanks.

So my concerns is should I wait till the CoS is issued and visa approved and tell my new employer I have to give a 2 months notice before I will start with them.
Or can can tell my new employer now before they issue the CoS so that they will be aware in time before I apply for the change of employer with the CoS they will issue. Because at the end of the day, I will still have to give the 2 months notice before I will start with them.
Please advice will be appreciated.

The advice remains the same:
Normally applicants inform the new employer about any notice period, so they can issue the CoS - including tentative start date, etc - taking into account that period.
It's better to inform them now before getting the CoS than after.

If you know the notice period that is required to be served out at current employers, discuss this with prospective employer upfront such that this is used in planning your resumption date with new employer.
Don't try to be smart and end up loosing on both sides.

Dear All,
Please I was trying to fill an application form on the UKVI health and care worker visa website under "update your visa if you want to change your employer".
As I was filling the application, I got stuck where I was asked to use the UK immigration ID check to confirm my identity as the app was unable to read my BRP.
Later I was ask if I was unable to do so that I should click a link that will allow me to go to the UKVI centre to upload my identity.
When I click on the link, the link take me to the Skilled Worker Visa application link for me to do so but when I check the information on the link, the link only indicate that "I will be able to use the link if i want to extend or switched to the visa". It never mention i can use the link for "updating my visa if I want to change my employer".
Please has anyone experience this and if yes, can i use the link to apply for updating my visa to change my employers as well as i am seriously stuck in this.
Thank you all.

You're getting a new Skilled Worker visa by changing your employer (so you need a new CoS and so on), so you need to click the link - jts indicating correctly.

Hello @meself2
Please are you saying i can use the skilled worker visa page that says "Apply to extend or switch to remain in the UK under the Skilled Worker visa route" for my change of employer application under health and care worker visa as well.
If this is correct, please kindly let me know so that I won't make an application via a wrong page and I will be able to go for my biometric at the UKVI visa application centre instead of using the immigration ID check app for this.
Many thanks.

Yes. It says so on the page.

Apply to update your visa
You must apply online for a Skilled Worker visa. You’ll be asked if you’re applying for a Health and Care Worker visa as part of your application - make sure you choose ‘yes’.

Thank you @meself2
I finally make use of the immigration ID check app. I upgrade my idiot-phone 13 and I was able to use it by placing the phone directly on top of my brp card and it works.
Thank you once again.
