Being away from UK for 250 days affects any skilled worker Visa extension ?

Post by tonybaker » Sat Jun 10, 2023 6:48 pm

I am in T2 ICT visa now and need to go one more extension (under skilled worker route) before applying for ILR (Long Residence)

Last year I was away nearly 250 days away from UK (Ensured there is no continuous 180 days). Will this affect my current visa (skilled worker category) extension?

I hope the number of days being away from UK does not apply to T2/skilled worker visa extension, please clarify.

How and where to add /attach Covering Letter in online application

Post by tonybaker » Sat Jun 10, 2023 6:53 pm

As all the visa extension and ILR applications are made online now, if I would like to add any covering letter explaining few context to case worker where should I include this as there is no separate section in online application

Should I prepare a covering letter - a word document and attach online along with my passport and BRP? Is this a good option? Please suggest if there other ways to do.

The caseworker will not be looking at the time spent away for your extension of your current leave. Their role at this point is to ensure you qualify and meet the requirements for the extension, nothing else.

When you apply for ILR only then would your periods outside the U.K. would be considered.

Dear Admins and Group Moderators,

Thanks for your support so far regarding all my immigration related queries .

I have 2 quick questions to ask,

1) When i registered with www.immigrationboards.com i have forgotten which email address i have given, i looked into my profile don't see an option to see my registered email address. What is the way to identify this ,can you please reply (in this post) with my address.

2) I would like to PM few group members who are in my friends list, few weeks ago i mailed admin/moderators to provide me access so that i can PM them and seek few clarification. Can this be enabled to my profile please please....

Will be waiting for your response...

Thank you once again ,Wish you nice day .

For 1), go to the ucp.php?i=ucp_profile&mode=reg_details and you'll see your email there.

For 2), PM function was disabled by one of the moderators. Would be reasonable for them to make a decision whether to restore it or not.

Dear Admins/Moderators,

I looked into the board's FAQ's , which one of the following below (either 2 or 3) i am currently in as i cannot send the PM,

I cannot send private messages!

There are three reasons for this;

1) you are not registered and/or not logged on

2) the board administrator has disabled private messaging for the entire board,

3) the board administrator has prevented you from sending messages. Contact a board administrator for more information.

As stated above by Char, it's 3 - your PM function has been disabled.

It is number 3.

I will refresh your memory, topic link below. You persistently ignored moderators requests and the forum rules regarding multiple topics. Your PM function was therefore disabled and it will not be enabled for you at the moment. If you have questions about an application, post in public. The topic below is also not the first time your topics have had to be merged.

Below is the warning that was issued to you by another moderator.
The following warning was issued to this user
You have been reminded several times that you should keep all your queries regarding your SET(LR) application to your ONE post (do NOT start new posts) but you do not seem to pay attention. Your account may be deactivated if you ignore this.

Hi CR001

Thank you for your response and clarity.

Me posting at a topic (which got Merged) was not intentional and when i was at offshore was accessing from internet café (Desktop) and website was not fully rendering the page hence not knowingly i posted the topics, however after knowing my mistake i have corrected and apologized to admins & moderators.

Additionally i have written separate message asking an apology.

If the above is not enough please can you help me what i need to do for admins to enable me the PM's.

Hi ,

There are very few limited people who were in similar situation of mine. When i checked recently some of them have got the ILR approved when i checked in Just ILR application Status link- Earlier i dint check this. The posts which they have created last year have been locked.

It would be of great help from Admins/moderators ,if they can enable me to do PM ,i can request my friends (they are in my friends list) about the application documentation they have done and few of other questions specific to my scenario

I have come long way all these years sabotaging my life for this , one great help from admins/moderators on this would be a great help for my life time . I kindly beg you to enable me the PM ..please please..

Thank you so much
Tony

I don't understand why cannot you just post your queries in public.
It's not just a select few people that can answer your queries.

What stops you from posting your questions here, in this topic, and wait for people to answer, like you're doing now?

As my case is rarest and only few been in similar situation of mine. Those who are similar to my case - their earlier posts are locked and have already obtained the ILR/citizenship.

i am looking is specific answer/steps that some one in same case of mine followed and application steps they did and they may not login back to board to reply my queries hence sending a PM will triggers an email to them and they can reply back to me.my experience i dont want to keep it with me and I am happy to share my experiences with the board for others help which meets boards vision and collaboration.

I hope i am able to clarify the justification, if so dear Admins/Moderators can you please enable PM to me. Sorry if in case i have asked too much ..I kindly beg you to do the needful .Best Regards,

Not necessarily. It depends on individuals' settings.
