An interesting FOI. I had set an alert and the response just came in on this one.

https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/ ... ng-1178088

All predictions and calculations welcome.
Hi recieved means granted and Requested is total no of applications right? It was not clear in the response.
Employer can request more than 1 RCoS under each application. So, No. of applications is not very relevant here, number of RCoS requested is more important!

My employer was applying since january but no luck. And in July they said they don't have any allocation left and they have applied for it. Once approved they will apply for RcoS again. What does this mean. Do they have to apply 1st to get allocation to apply for RCoS.
https://assets.publishing.service.gov.u ... l_v1.0.pdf

23.11 and 23.18

In essence, your employer will have an initial limit set on number of RCoS he can apply. If for any reason he needs more RCoS, he first has to apply for increase in limit.
Is it not for unrestricted CoS. I think there is no set limit from employer for restricted CoS.

Hello everyone

I am still waiting on 45 points. Contacted my HR they said they haven't received a decision yet on my application. Is there someone else also sharing the same boat?

I am still confused about how this works. I thought everyone until 40p would be cleared? Those on 41p+ are you just expecting news from your lawyer to say you've got the green light?

I am waiting on 40p and I just had to try and convince my manager that if it doesn't work this month, it will drop below 40 next month. If this there is less than 60% chance that this might not be the case then I might not bother with it next month as my visa officially ends on the 23rd of August.

Lets say the cut-off is 41ps but there is 200 applications and only 100 spots remaining, what do they do then? Do they push the whole band back a month or borrow from future months to cover or just cover partially?

I am hating this soo much!!

Hello,
Just wondering if anyone received the response from HO regarding 70 - 75 points? The pattern seems to be really strange this time.

This may sound a bit weird and merely a result of absolute desperation but i think that our employers (big four) haven't applied for us because they were of the view that changes in the policy would be applicable since August and there is no way points will fall to 45. So now they are covering themselves by saying they haven't heard on our applications.

Yes absolutely, my recruiter is not replying yet and told me last week that they will hear back from HO in this week and then will update accordingly but still nothing heard :(

I don't think that any employer would do such a thing. My employer is also a big 4 and they told me clearly that they haven't applied this month and they want to be sure that the points drop and then they will apply in subsequent month. I am at 43 points.

Surely they dont expect to convince you that the application is still pending until the end of the month. Also, there hasnt been anyone reporting any rejection news so this could legitimately still be in process. It is rather strange that we are up to the 24th of the month and there has been complete silence so far. I dont understand how the process begins on the 11th of the month and they still dont have answers 2 weeks later!
