Restricted Work NO DR/DEN TRAIN

Hi.
I just got my residence permit renewal as Tier 2 Dependant and was given "RESTRICTED WORK NO DR/DEN TRAIN OR SPORTSPERSON".
The previous permit i got when I came into the country was "WORK PERMITTED".
I came in as a Medical Doctor 3 years ago with no restriction to work as explained above. I am currently doing exams to get myself registered into the GMC to work as a doctor and here goes the "restrictions" slammed on me.
Why was this done because my first entry permit didn't restrict me in any kind of job including working as a doctor?
I am worried now because I will soon be done with my GMC registration and this residence permit is disallowing me from doing my profession which the home office knew from the beginning.
