RFQ level 3 - Applying for Tier 2 general

Post by ramya_simm » Mon Mar 04, 2019 12:43 pm

hi,

I am currently on ICT Tier 2 dependent visa. I am already working in UK. Now, I have for an offer from a employer who provides me Tier 2 general visa.

I have my UK NARIAC which is equivalent to RFQ Level 3/SCQF Level 6-7/CQFW level 3

Comparable qualification: BTEC National Diploma/Extended Diploma

Now my question is, will my Qualification satisfies the eligibility criteria for Tier 2 General. Please share you comments as I am completely new to this.

Thanks,
Ramya

Hi Ramya,

As far as my understanding goes, you do not need the UK NARIC statement of comparability for your Tier 2 General Visa. You need a minimum of 70 points in order to qualify for the visa and they can be found using the following link to the guide:
https://assets.publishing.service.gov.u ... -v31.0.pdf

Cheers,
Dev

hi,

can you please go through the same link page 48.

https://assets.publishing.service.gov.u ... -v31.0.pdf

It is mentioned as

Certificate of sponsorship:
For initial applications, the CoS must confirm that the:
• job is Regulated Qualification Framework (RQF) level 6 occupation, in a
creative sector occupation skilled to RQF level 4 as listed in appendix A of the
Immigration Rules, unless it is on the shortage occupation list

Please let me know if I should think about shortage occupation list.

Thanks

It is the OCCUPATION SOC that must be RQF level 6, not the qualification.

I have a similar case. Could you let me know whether your application for RQF level 6 was successfully accepted by Home office.
I am applying for Tier 2 visa and the job is under shortage occupation RQF level 6. I hold a RQF level 4 qualification. And I have also scored C1 in IELTS General Training. Do I still have to get it my qualification assessed by NAARIC and submit with the application.
Please help me with this as I have to urgently start my application.
