Over 18 dependent

Post by zahid.ali.anwar » Sat Mar 26, 2011 10:20 am

Hi,

One of my friend wants to come to UK on tier 1 Entrepreneur. His two son are already in UK studying. They are over 18. Can they apply as dependent to the main applicant?

If they can, do they have to apply at the same with the main applicant.

What will be the maintenance fund for these.

Thanks

No dependents Children over 18 yrs can not be included with main applicant case.
However , purpose can be achieved by including one of them as co- applicant for investment of GBP 200000.
Thereafter the proposed business can issue work permit to other son - in addition to employing 2 settled persons

You are right....my mistake in not writing the ages....

One son is 20 and the other is 21 of age.

But the problem is once their father and uncle come to UK in entrepreneur visa. They will be left with NO relatives back in Pakistan. Can they apply in country for the change of visa as dependent. As they can not go back to Pakistan once the complete family is here.

Is there any legecy involve in this matter?
The question is... to be or not to be....

No and No.

Children above 18 cannot apply for entry clearance as "dependant of PBS migrant". Children above 18 cannot apply for leave to remain as dependant of PBS migrant unless they were issued leave as "dependant of PBS migrant" before they turned 18.
