You need accountant for formation of company, for business plans etc

Question is how did you prove the business activity in graduate occupation(NQF level 4 or above) and advertisement requirement for initial entrepreneur application of PSW holders ? What documents you provided?

I think yur friend applied for the 200K visa. That is why he got it baq quickly I applied for the 50K visa. it is a straight forward application. Even the money is in my uk bank account for more than 6 months now. I don't. Think there is any problem with the application? I think they make verification on applications whose money is outside uk.
If you have any info please share it here. Thanx

Process time: Tier 1 Entrepreneur Visa from PSW w Dependents

Post by memyselfandi » Mon Jul 09, 2012 11:15 am

Hello everybody,

I applied for Entrepreneur visa on £50,000 investment from within the UK, with my 3 dependents (husband and two children) switching from PSW visa.

My visa processing time is as follows:

Application made: 6th June 2012
Application received by home office: 7th June 2012
Fee taken from my credit card: 8th June 2012
Letter to register Biometric details send on 11th June 2012.
Letter received: 13th June 2012
There was a problem with one of the letters of my dependents, so I called them on 14th June 2012 on 08706067766 and also emailed them at appointmentexceptions @ homeoffice. gsi. gov. uk
New letter sent 20th June 2012. Biometric details sent the same day.
Home office contacted me about a problem with my evidence on maintenance funds on 27th June 2012, which I clarified. I was advised to send further evidence within 7 working days.
Evidence sent 28th June 2012.
Evidence received at home office: 29th June 2012 (Tracked on Royal Mail website)
Inquired to get acknowledgement of receipt of evidence at Home Office just to check the status of my application on 3rd July. I was told the evidence was received by the visa officer on that day and that he would check it in due course.
Visa approved 4th July 2012.
Approval letter and all my documents received today 9th July.
Biometric Residence Permits also received today just 1 hour after receipt of Approval Letter.

Overall time: approx 1 month.

Alhamdulillah I am soooo happy guys. I hope all your visas get approved as soon as possible so that you can be happy too.

I just want you to know if you are applying the same visa as me, and if you have any questions on exactly what documents to send, if you want to ask anything about Tier 1 Entrepreneur visa switched from PSW visa with dependents, I am very happy to help and share all my knowledge, because I want as many people as possible to succeed because I know what a big dream this is for all of us.

Take care.

Onewin, are you sure your account has enough money or that if you have over draft facillity, it is nt over limit? Contact your bank and tell them you have authorized Home Office to take this payment fromyour account. Sometimes banks hold unusually large payments for security reasons. You shoud also call Home Office to ask if there is a problem with your payment.

I am in regular contact with my bank but they haven't received any request for money from Home Office.

I am planing to give a call to home office to check my application status.

I am confuse about, if we both (me and my wife) submitted the application at same time then how her application fees get deducted and not main applicant.

Could you please advice me how to contact the home office in quick way. As I tried couple of time calling but spend 20 mins on hold only.

thanks.

Onewin,
The number to call is the same that you have probably called several times: 08706067766. You just have to be patient with them and wait. Try calling early in the morning.

Dear la,
You are obviously going to be investing this money in the business, you can't keep it in the bank for the whole 3 years. If you do business with it, you have to pay tax on any profits you make. If you believe your profit per year is going to be £200,000, then yes you have to pay tax on this profit.
Hope this helps.

Once I get my visa tier 1 entrepreneur, If I will not invest this money in UK, then what is the impact. Can I still move to another category tier 2 from tier 1 entrepreneur at the end of third year of my Visa.

Dear la,
If you do not invest the money, you will not be fulfilling the requirements of the visa, and the consequence is that you will not get an extension.
As a Tier 1 Entrepreneur, you are not allowed to work for anyone else, but you CAN switch from any Tier 1 category to a Tier 2 category as per page 4 of the new policy guidance on Tier 2 visas effective from 14th June 2012.
Hope this helps.

If I will not invest the money through out my three years time, can I work
for clients through my business for these three years before I move to tier 2.

if you see the below link they said,we must extend visa in tier 1 entrepreneur if I want to continue living here.

http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/visas ... onditions/.

Could you please confirm that, still I am eligible to move to tier 2 from tier 1 entrepreneur

Dear La,
You can run your business without investing the £200,000 capital, but unless you show Home Office that you made the investment, you can't extend your Tier 1 visa if this is what you plan to do, but you can switch to Tier 2. Please read the policy guidance on Tier 2 visas. However, I'm not sure if Home Office will make any checks on your previous visa activities. I think not, but I'm not sure. I think you may have just found a loop hole in the system, but at your own risk of course. Maybe someone else will confirm....?

But i have also heard that if the application is invalid/returned/rejected then we have some grace period in which we can correct the mistake as per the letter which we have received from the home office.

Can anybody suggest.

Thanx

As long as your date on the application is 23rd July, its fine. You can post on the last day, but I don't know about grace periods. Why don;t you call Home Office to confirm?
